1. be interesting - don't just talk about yourself & real estate
2. be interested - be interested in the conversations happening around you and do jump in!
3. retweet - often and generously - you will create "good twitter karma" for yourself
4. connect - with colleagues all over the world (think referrals!)
5. be open - don't be laser focused on real estate or your needs - you never know where your next lead will come from
